'm Jason Philip Konrad, professionally known as JK the Entertainer. I'm a professional vocalist specializing in the timeless classics of the 1950s, 1960s, and early 1970s.
I've always been inspired by the legendary entertainers who made this music so special—Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, Perry Como, Johnny Mathis, and many more. I love performing these songs because they continue to bring people together, spark memories, and create moments that audiences can share.
From Service to Song
I'm proud to be a United States Air Force veteran, and it was after my military service that I discovered just how powerful music could be.
What began as volunteer performances for senior communities throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area quickly became something much more meaningful. I saw firsthand how a familiar song could bring a smile to someone's face, bring back a cherished memory, or get an entire room singing together.
Those experiences showed me that performing was about much more than simply singing.
It was about connecting with people.
What started as volunteer performances eventually grew into a full-time entertainment career built on professionalism, reliability, and a genuine passion for creating meaningful experiences.
Performing Throughout Texas
Senior communities were the first to welcome me as a performer, and they continue to be a very special part of my journey. I still perform extensively for senior living communities throughout Texas, and I've built lasting relationships with many of the communities and audiences I've had the privilege of entertaining.
Over time, I've expanded my performances to restaurants, wineries, private events, resorts, weddings, celebrations, and select country clubs, including multiple appearances at The Dominion Country Club.
I'm grateful for the members, event professionals, venue managers, and audiences who have encouraged me to take my music to new places. Their support has allowed me to continue growing while staying connected to the audiences who helped me get started.
A Full Sound. A Personal Connection.
One of the unique aspects of my performances is the way I combine live lead vocals with high-quality accompaniment tracks featuring the instrumental arrangements and background vocal harmonies associated with the original recordings.
This allows me to recreate the rich, full sound of many of the classic recordings I love while still performing the lead vocals live.
It's especially effective with doo-wop and multi-vocal classics such as In the Still of the Night and Save the Last Dance for Me. The result is the sound and energy of a full ensemble while maintaining the flexibility and personal connection of a solo entertainer.
More Than Just a Song
Every audience is different, and I believe every performance should be as well.
Whether I'm performing during an elegant dinner, entertaining residents at a senior community, celebrating a milestone with a private group, or performing at a lively social event, I tailor my approach to the people in the room.
For me, the best part of performing isn't simply singing a song well. It's seeing someone recognize the first few notes of a favorite song and immediately smile. It's watching an audience sing along. It's hearing someone come up afterward and tell me that a song brought back a special memory.
Those are the moments that make performing so rewarding for me.
My goal is to preserve the music of a golden era while creating a live experience that feels personal, engaging, and memorable.
